Dhampur Bio Organics Q4 net profit down 49.70% at Rs 41.22 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 41.22 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 81.95 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 49.70 per cent.
Net revenue of the company declined substantially by 25.64 per cent at Rs 594.62 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 799.70 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses dropped by 25.31 per cent to Rs 512.38 crore from Rs 686.00 crore in year ago period.
Other Income grew by 152.36 per cent at Rs 4.82 crore versus (Mar'23 Rs 1.91 crore).
Operating Profit slipped by 27.67 per cent to Rs 82.24 crore as against Rs 113.70 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 2.74 per cent in March quarter.
Interest grew by 40.85 per cent y-o-y to Rs 17.55 crore, while Taxation increased by 14.94 per cent at Rs 14.00 crore (Mar'23 Rs 12.18 crore).
